Certified Financial Therapist | Board Certified Psychologist

Meet Dr. Collin Davidson, PhD

Most people think money is about math.
But by the time clients find me, they’ve already tried budgeting apps, spreadsheets, and podcasts—and nothing changes. That’s because you can’t budget your way out of habitual cycles.

I became a financial therapist to help people stop blaming themselves—and start understanding the emotional roots of their money struggles.

“You’re not bad with money. You’ve just been thinking about it the wrong way.”

Whether you are new to therapy or have tried it before, I offer something different.

✔️ A clear, goal-oriented plan each session
✔️ Strategies that address both emotional and financial behavior
✔️ Collaboration tailored to your feedback

Many therapists offer a listening ear. I offer that and a roadmap.
We’ll work together to break lifelong patterns—not just talk about them.

What You Can Expect

  • A balanced, honest perspective

  • No judgment—just curiosity and clarity

  • A willingness to talk about anything that’s getting in your way

  • A commitment to adapt my approach based on your needs

I don’t believe therapy should be passive.
You can chat with a friend.
You come to therapy to get unstuck.

Real Life, Real Impact

I’ve been there. I’m a husband and father, and I know how central money is to building a fulfilling life.
I also know how scary it can be to confront your finances—and how powerful it is when you do.

When you change how you think and feel about money, everything shifts:
✔️ Less anxiety
✔️ More confidence
✔️ Better decisions
✔️ Stronger relationships

Focused, Personalized Care

I work with a small number of clients at a time.
In the past, I’ve managed over 30 sessions a week. Now, I’ve chosen to slow down—so I can focus deeply on each client’s progress.

Your goals matter. You deserve therapy that moves you forward.
